Styke nets three goals in Albertville victoryPosted Wednesday, March 25, 2009 by Sand Mountain Reporter Styke nets three goals in Albertville victory Erin Sloan, of Albertville, scored the first goal of the game about midway through the first half. Later in the half, Lee scored its only goal of the game. The Lady Aggies came out ready to play in the second half. Brooke Ann Styke scored three goals, giving Albertville a 4-1 advantage. Crystal Flores scored Albertville’s fifth goal of the night. Albertville head coach Carrie Dixon said Lindsey Vinson, Chloe Kennedy and Mayra Villacorta played well at the midfield positions, distributing the ball over the field. Dixon said Isabelle Carringer, Elizabeth Williams and Anna Rosales did a good job on defense. “The season is off to a good start, but we have a lot of work to do to meet our goals for the season and to continue to improve each game,” Dixon said. The Lady Aggies will play host to Crossville today at 5 p.m. |
